Find the part. Then decide if the grill is worth keeping.
A static parts finder and a stack of repair notes. Pick brand, model, and part type. We build a search — we do not invent stock, prices, or Amazon ASINs.
Step 1–3
Find a part by brand and type
This site does not stock parts and does not list ASINs or prices. The buttons open a live search on Amazon (Patio, Lawn & Garden) or BBQGuys for the words you selected. Confirm fit against your data plate and the retailer’s parts diagram before you buy.
Select brand and part type to build a search. Model is optional.
Data plate
Find your model number
Do not guess from the lid badge alone. The badge says “Spirit” or “Genesis”; the model and serial live on a metal rating plate. Photograph it before you order burners, flavorizer bars, or a hot rod.
| Brand family | Where to look | What to copy |
|---|---|---|
| Weber Spirit / Genesis | Inside the left cabinet door, on the left cart frame, or on the back of the control panel. Older units: underside of the right side table. | Model (E-310, Genesis II E-335) and the serial. Year codes matter for GS4 vs older burners. |
| Weber Q | Underside of the firebox or the rear lid flange. | Q 1200 / 2200 / 3200 — electrode and grate kits do not cross. |
| Char-Broil | Back of the firebox, rear cart panel, or inside the left door. | Full model string (often 46xxx or GPxxxx). Heat-plate length in inches. |
| Nexgrill | Rear firebox or inside the cart. Stamped 720-xxxx. | The entire 720 number including suffix letters (H, A). |
| Traeger | Back of the hopper, inside the hopper lid, or adjacent to the firepot. | Series plus size (Pro 575, Ironwood 885). Note hot-rod length if the diagram lists it. |
If the plate is gone, measure cooking-grate width and depth, count main burners, and note whether there is a side burner. Those three facts plus the brand usually isolate the family. Still prefer a serial lookup on the manufacturer’s support site over a guess.

Built-in grill igniter and transformer
Lynx, Alfresco, Wolf, Viking, and DCS island grills use 120-volt hot-surface or spark modules — not a Spirit AA tray. Diagnose GFCI, transformer, and glow-plug gap before you order a ceramic.

Char-Broil igniter replacement
Box-store Char-Broil Performance and Commercial carts: piezo versus AA collector, electrode clips on stamped burners, and why the side burner is a separate lead.

Gas grill regulator reset (low flame after a tank change)
The excess-flow valve chokes the hose when you open the tank fast or leave a knob on. A model-agnostic reset, leak check, and when the regulator is actually failed.

Cleaning notes
Bristle-free vs wire grill brush
Why wire bristles show up in emergency-room case reports, what bristle-free tools actually do, and a cleaning sequence that does not depend on a cheap steel brush.
How to choose and use grill cleaner
Read the substrate line: porcelain, cast iron, stainless. Cold dwell versus warm spray, what alkali does to enamel, and a use sequence that does not flood the burners.
How to clean a grill grease tray and drip system
Empty, scrape, and reseat the cup, rail, and foil path so the next cook does not become a cabinet fire. Includes Weber-style cups and box-store V-trays.
How to clean gas grill burner ports
Yellow flames, popping, and cold spots are often clogged ports. How to brush and ream tubes without drilling them oversize or flooding the venturi.
