About Fix My Grill
fixmygrill.com is a largely passive affiliate utility: a client-side parts finder plus written procedures. It is not a repair company and it does not sell parts from this domain.
What this site does
- Helps you turn a brand, model, and part type into Amazon and BBQGuys search URLs.
- Publishes how-to notes for cleaning, ignition, burners, flavorizer/heat plates, regulators, and pellet hot rods.
- Helps you decide when a stack of parts costs more than a replacement grill (high-AOV browsing on BBQGuys is a feature, not a secret).
What this site does not do
- No backend, accounts, comments, or “in stock” claims.
- No invented ASINs, prices, star ratings, or reviews.
- No brand logos. Brand names appear as text so you can identify the appliance you already own.
- No service dispatch. If a valve, manifold, or firebox is cracked, hire a licensed tech or replace the grill.
How the finder is built
Brands, models, and part types live in a JSON catalog compiled into the static site. Your browser builds the query string. The Amazon associate tag is injected at build time from the AMAZON_ASSOCIATE_TAG environment variable (default yourtag-20 until you set your own).
Source is a folder of Astro pages and Markdown guides. Deploy is Cloudflare Pages from GitHub. Do not put an affiliate-primary site on Vercel Hobby — that plan forbids it.
